Details: This makes a wonderful gift for kids! You are giving them the gift of self-empowerment! Did you know that kids who learn life skills during their formative years are more likely to get good grades, be confident, and be more resilient teenagers and beyond? The goal is to teach life skills to kids ages 8+ in a fun and engaging way, with lessons that build upon each other each year and help them develop these skills and patterns early on so they start to understand them and then keep using them throughout their lives. I have a dream of helping change our youth for the better to create a generation of kids who will have the tools to become self-driven, identify their purpose, follow a passion, and understand how to have empathy for one another. My journey to teach kids life skills started when my oldest daughter became a teenager. She struggled and went through many challenges at the time. I learned many skills and techniques as we helped her to get back on her feet which I now know were important life skills that were not taught to her early on, if they had been, she may not have had the struggles she did. It became my passion to help other parents avoid this situation by creating these books to help kids at a young age develop a growth mindset, an appreciation for self and others, and find a purpose and passion for their lives. I am hoping that with these books we can truly create lasting change in this upcoming generation. Change in the way our children view their future, live out and follow their passions, and treat one another. This is truly one of the best gifts you can give to them and it can truly make a difference throughout their entire lives. The five core principles are: Growth mindset: Teaching this mindset will help your child feel empowered to do anything they put their mind to and give them the skills and tools to do it. Emotional Intelligence: This means understanding and controlling their emotions. Mindfulness: In conjunction with emotional intelligence this gives them the tools and habits to develop coping strategies that they can use throughout their life. Entrepreneurship: This helps your kids understand they have choices in their future and start thinking with an entrepreneurial mind. This way of thinking is rarely taught in schools but is one of the most empowering things you can teach your kids because it opens up freedom for their future. Money skills: Kids learn money habits as early as the age of 7. It is probably one of the most under-taught things in school and in studies, most adults say they wish they were taught this skill at a younger age, before they were on their own and already in debt. It starts at a very basic level and builds in complexity each book as they get older so they can grasp the concepts of debt, budgeting, money management, and how to use it. All of these skills are taught in a step-by-step approach with each chapter meant to reinforce each of our core principles and then build upon and develop them in a kid-friendly, age-appropriate manner. There are Hands-on activities, tools, tips, and real-life examples along with reflections to help each skill really sink in. If you want to give your child the tools now to help them gain life skills that help them navigate this world now and in the future then add to the cart now!
